London Taxi Charity
Veterans Road Trip is a multimedia art and documentary project created by visual anthropologist and filmmaker Janet Hodgson.
The project documents Second World War and D-Day veterans travelling back to the Netherlands and France. The film was made in association with the London Taxi Charity for Military Veterans. Hodgson accompanied the veterans in a fleet of traditional London black cabs, her film capturing the unique camaraderie, humor, and collective acts of remembrance shared by the veterans. A major output of this residency was her documentary film, Return of the Liberators.
